ABU Garcia Rare 4000 Salt Water Resistant Reel Circa-1966
This is a new never fished 1960s classic made in Sweden Reel and is a tougher to find model 4000. This ABU Garcia 4000 was designed with special “Delrin ” ( Delrin is a crystalline plastic, like bakelite, that offers an excellent balance of properties that bridge the gap between metals and plastics.) sideplates to make it more resistant to salt water. This lightweight reel was built to all of the ABUGarcia standards with a smooth level wind, and an anti-backlash brake. Other Features are an ultra light fiberglass spool, and Star Drag. Its been fished but looks and spins fast and smooth.
