Bronson ALTOONA “CAMOUFLAGE” No. #4250 with Original Box Circa-1947.

$181.00

Bronson ALTOONA “CAMOUFLAGE” No. #4250 with Original Box Circa-1947. Starting in 1947, the original #4200 Altoona was renumbered the No.4250, with the only difference being the handle grips were changed from white to maroon. The No.4250 would sell until about the mid to late 1950’s. Some of No.4250 models can be found in a host finishes, including black, brown, walnut, green, camouflage and even a reported “frog skin”. Im honestly not 100 percent this reel is not done in “Frog skin” but no one to my knowledge has seen one to compare it to. The bakelite front plate & Backplates are flawless and seem to show the camouflage differently based on lighting. This level wind reel spins fast and extremely smooth and the level wind goes easily side to side on command. The back plate mounted clicker is strong and loud. The box is in good condition showing limited storage wear with a really good clear label. Really nice clean example of a different option of the Bronson Level Wind and Box

.

Note: Any White on the bake-lite Front or rear plate is glare and reflextion. The bake-lite is in Mint condition.
