Bronson First Model MERCURY Engraved (Geometric Design Stamp) #2550 Level Wind Jeweled Circa-1938-40. This rare model reel was only made a couple years before being replaced by the very common etched fishing scene reel. This beautiful reel is in very fine condition, Its Fast, smooth and the level wind flies side to side. The clicker is loud and strong. The engraving on both front and back plates is in good clear etched condition. The removable jeweled bearing covers are knurled nicely and clean. The foot is clean, not manicured showing the year made 40 underneath. All parts are catalog correct. Tough reel to find and never seen this fine.
