Bronson "SYMBOL" No. 4700 with Jeweled handle Nut & Original Box Circa 1959. This was Bronson Idea of the forward thinking “space age” reel. This reel was avaliable starting in 1959 and the Star drag version like this the “Safari” in 1961 and both space age reels life”s ended in 1964. Lets face it this is a cool reel. Very few of these reels ever come to market anymore but most especially few people will ever find a brand new never fished or been out of the box before version. Its fast and smooth and the level wind flies side to side with little effort. The white rubber insert sandwiched in the green anodized head plate is flawless on this beautiful fun reel. The jewel in the handle nut just seals the deal and the white handle grips matching the rubber inserts just adds to it. The box is clean showing limited storage wear with a clean label. I have also added the rare original box manual which just shows folds but in good condition. This Jetsons space age reel is truly cool and would be the conversation piece of most every collection.
