Several different models were produced by Bronson to be sold under the “Star Reel Co.” label, which in turn were sold through different retailers. The “Star Reel Co.” was a brand, rather than an actual reel manufacturer. This Star Reel Company non level-wind model shown is the “Defiance”, its a unmarked version which was similar to Bronson’s No.2800 “Biltwell”. It’s not known who retailed these models. This is a brand new never fished version with everything functioning perfectly. Spins fast and smooth. This is a quick Takapart reel with thumb screws to simple unscrew to service. I believe this is probally a very tough find for any Bronson Collector.
