Its in top shape and shows well. The layered face plate Looks incredible surrounding a elegant crank with a handle grip that shows true genius in design. Back plate also shows beautiful with a fixed bearing cover thats simple but smart. The patent date read on bottom of this fine reel is for the foot. I have seen a lot of Silas Terry patented foot designs on many reels and this is by far one of the finest examples I have ever seen. Its in extremely nice condition with hand tooled tapering. Incredibley Brillant early American classic.
