Edward Vom Hofe "SPECIAL STAR" Model 521 Bass, Tarpon & Tuna Reel Size 4-0 Circa-1907. This is a fine example of a Edward Vom Hofe classic Ocean casting reel. Its clean, extremely fast, smooth with a strong working free spool, sliding clicker and universal drag. The german silver and hard rubber are both in very good condition. The screw on big S-Handle with knurled lock nut steals the show here with a free spinning grip. Sliding oil caps with patent are clean and clear. Reel measures 4” across face with a 2-1/8” spool width. Serial # E526 on this Classic Vom Hofe!
