Vintage Extremely Nice very clean Blue Grass No. 10 German Silver Level Winding Fishing and casting Reel made starting in 1930 by Horton Mfg Co. Horton bought the rights to all Meek Products and properties in 1916-17 and continued the long years of the Meek and Sons name with there own Blue Grass style of reels with the number 10 & 30. This reel is Extremely clean and very fine condition. Its Fast and smooth with a strong clicker and fast moving side to side level wind. The reel face rim is clean and has a doubled rope knurl trim. The bearing covers, handle knob screw , and handle counter weight have matching knurl. The foot is clean, not manicured, and straight. The handle is clean, straight , and grip spins freely. Early Serial No. B138. This reel is a great example of a fine level wind reel made by Horton Manufacturing.
