Vintage Extremely Nice very clean Meek No. 30 German Silver Level Winding Fishing and casting Reel made starting in 1930 by Horton Mfg Co........ Horton bought the rights to all Meek Products and properties in 1916-17 and continued the long years of the Meek and Sons name with there own Meek line of reels. This reel is Fast and smooth with a strong clicker and a great working ABL brake drag mounted and trimmed nicely on the face. The reel face rim is clean and has a triple rope knurl trim. The Bearing covers, Bread basket and handle knob screw have matching knurl. The foot is clean, not manicured, and straight with the early serial number of 1176 underneath. The handle is clean, straight , with double counter balanced free spinning grips. This reel is a great example of a fine level wind reel made by Horton Manufacturing.
