Ron Kusse "The Leonard Mills Reel" Fly Reel Made by Kineya Tackle Maker is in very very fine condition. The reel is made of a German silver and Bronze frame, with a Aluminum spool. The reel turns freely and the click works great. The click is a little louder when the handle is turned in the counter-clockwise direction. The reel measures about 3 inches in diameter away from the pillars and has a spool width of about 1 inches. The reel was made by Kineya (Kyoto, Japan) for Ron Kusse who was Vice President of the H.L. Leonard Rod Company from 1972 to 1981. After he left Leonard, he began making fly rods under his own name. He made high quality fly rods up until his death on March 6, 2016. Work of art that comes with original carry and storage bad as seen.
