This is a true early nickel silver plated reel including both plates, spool, pillars, foot and nicely knurled rim trims. Its very fast and smooth spinning with a strong rear plate clicker and brake. The handle is clean and counter balanced. The early bone grip spins freely and shows some grain like a wood finish but it shows no cracks or breaks, actually looks pretty cool. This reel is simple but ellegant in design and use. All nickel silver is pretty clean and shows little wear. Rare original box shows some shelf wear but has a descent label and puts this reel away nicely. Great early reel and box combo. .
