Montague “FRANKLIN” German Silver & Hard rubber 60 yard. Reel is extremely clean, fast and smooth. Clicker is strong and loud and brake functions perfect. The hard rubber has no cracks, chips or scratches. The German Silver removable bearing covers are knurled perfect . The German Silver knurled Counter balanced handle is clean, straight and the grip spins freely. The foot is full length with the 60 yard spool yardage clearly showing underneath. This is considered a Banded German Silver Trade Reel and was sold to Hardware and Sporting good stores through-out the country in the early 1900s. Note: See the final photo for the trade name. As with most of these old trade reels the name wears off over the years and considering this is 115 years old its pretty good.
