Shakespeare Uncle Sam No. 23037 Jeweled with Tepker Thriller Level Wind Circa-1922. Extremely clean, fast and smooth reel with a strong clicker and brake. The removable jewels are clean and nicely knurled. The handle is clean, straight with a free spinning grip and catalog correct. The foot is clean and straight. The Shakespeare logo on the bottom of the reels foot shows the model as 1922 which as most Shakespeare enthusiast know is the year it was made. The Tepker Thriller made in Cincinnati, Ohio is a detachable level winding device to help wind line evenly back on the reel. It works perfect and is clean with no issues. Removes and replaces in seconds. Great early combination.
