Shakespeare "PIONEER" No. 23045 Level Wind Jeweled with Original Banner Box Circa -1924. Vintage Shakespeare named reel you don’t see often “PIONEER”. The reel is in new condition I dont think ever fished. Extremely clean, fast and smooth spinning. This baitcaster has the drag wheel located on the head plate rim for easy access to prevent backlash. The wheel turns easily and functions perfect. The clicker button is located on the tail plate and also functions perfect. Jeweled and knurled bearing covers are removable. The reel handle is double grip tournament style and both grips spin freely. The foot is typical Shakespeare with the model or year of 1924 and the yardage of 100 inside the logo under the foot. The extremely rare box is in very good stored condition showing limited wear with a great clear label.
