Stuart Mfg. Company Single Action No. 1 Aluminum 6 oz. 30 Yard Fly Reel Norwalk, Conn. Circa-1949. This comes from a small Conn. maker right after WWll and eventually were sold by Horrocks Ibodson and labeled with the H.I. Name on the boxes. These incredible reels have no markings on the reels and this example is a first model in fantasic very fine condition with the box labeled as a original Stuart reel. The reel functions as new with a strong click in both directions and I believe could be fished left or right handed. Aluminum and hard rubber show no wear and look spectacular. Box shows some storage wear but has a clean label and puts this very fine reel away nicely. Rare reel and box combo!
