$119.00

Union Hardware Company No. 7225S with Original Box Circa-1923. Here is a brief Brief History of this Company: The Union Hardware Company Torrington, CT. began in 1864 in what had been an old lock shop in the area known as Torrington Hollow CT. By autumn of 1865, the company relocated down the Naugatuck River into its own set of new buildings. Throughout this time, the company was engaged in the manufacture of ice skates of all sizes and styles. In the following years, Union Hardware expanded its product line to include items made of iron, leather, and wood. In 1905, the manufacture of steel fishing rods began followed by the manufacture of fishing reels in 1923. This reel is in very fine condition with a strong gliding level wind and great working clicker. The finish is nice and mirror like with some small age flaws but still very nice. Everything is original to this combination and its just never seen. The box is in nice condition and functions perfectly with a great label number of 7225S and please notice level wind guard on the reel carries the number as well. Just a great combination of Fishing Tackle History.
