Winchester Made (Hendryx Model No. 307 P.N.) Single Action Raised Pillar Nickel Plated Circa-1920. This is a early example of the Hendryx patent reel (model No.307 P.N). Winchester purchased Hendryx in 1919 and took over all patents, parts and materials associated with Andrew B. Hendryx Co. This reel has some original parts from the Hendryx line but added Winchester products to call it there own. The Handle grip is real wood, the foot is from the traditional Moog patent seen on most Winchester reels, and under the foot you can see the trademark underline as seen on all and only Winchester reels. The reel is very fast, smooth and straight spinning. The full time clicker works perfect in both directions favoring a right hand wind. The nickel silver is in really nice condition showing limited brass in area’s expected on a 100 year plus year old reel of this caliber. Foot is clean and the simple elegant handle is fantastic with a free spinning real wood grip. Great Reel never cataloged by Winchester.
