Vintage beautiful classic Wm. H. TALBOT REEL CO. " COMET " NEVADA, Mo. Fishing and Casting Reel With original Leather Case.. This is a Trade Reel for Schmelzer Arm Company from K.C. MO. See reel backplate and leather case pictures from the photos provided. This reel is very clean, very fast and the clicker is strong and loud. Beautiful Head plate rim with double knurled rope design. The foot is clean and not manicured and also carries the 3 screw patent dates of 1901. The counter balanced handle is clean and straight and the grip spins freely. Bearing covers are Knurled, clean and again correct for this reel. This also has the original Labled Schmelzer Arms Co. Matching leather case in good condition. A truly nice example of this reel to collect or fish but a must have for Schmelzer collectors
